Student-led fundraising makes a permanent tribute possible.
Dothan High School seniors are honoring the Dothan Fire Department with a unique legacy gift: a museum-quality bronze and marble statue depicting a kneeling firefighter in full bunker gear, clutching an ax and breathing mask. Thanks to student fundraising, the statue has been fully funded and will be presented at a special dedication on May 8.

This project started with a simple idea—students giving back to the first responders who protect them every day. Through coordinated fundraising and outreach, seniors turned that idea into a lasting symbol of gratitude that the entire city can share.
