The Estes Valley Land Trust in Estes Park, Colorado purchased 18 benches and placed them along the Big Thompson River, and came up with a  great way to pay for them. They offered the local residents the opportunity to purchase the benches as a memorial for their loved ones. Each bench has a small bronze plaque with the name of a memorialized individual.
